Monalisa Jena - Principal Designer
For Vinay, architecture has always been about finding the right balance between what a space needs to do and how it should make people feel. The architectural journey begins with understanding—of people, place, purpose, and the possibilities inherent in each project. He approaches design as a careful negotiation between imagination and restraint, expression and functionality, ambition and responsibility. He enjoys the process of taking an idea, questioning it, refining it, and gradually turning it into something that feels both purposeful and effortless.
His approach to design is thoughtful and grounded. He believes in listening closely—to the client, to the context, and to the realities of how a space will actually be used. At VSTUDIOZ, his philosophy is rooted in creating spaces that feel considered rather than imposed—where architecture responds naturally to its context while retaining a distinct identity. He believes the most successful spaces are not simply designed to make an impression, but to translates into architecture that is distinctive without being excessive, practical without being predictable, and designed to remain relevant long after the project is complete.
For Mona, interiors are deeply personal. She believes a home should never feel like a collection of beautiful objects put together simply to create an impression. It should carry something of the people who live within it—their personalities, habits, memories, contradictions, and the way they choose to experience life.
She is drawn to ideas that ask for a little more—more imagination, more experimentation, and sometimes more from materials and craftsmanship than they seem willing to give. Her instinct is rarely to begin with what can be done, but with what could this become? The challenge then is finding a way to bring that idea into the real world without losing the emotion that made it compelling in the first place.
She sees interiors as deeply personal expressions of the people who inhabit them. A home, to her, is not something one simply owns or decorates. It absorbs personality, memories, eccentricities, rituals and aspirations until, over time, it begins to resemble the people within it.
Because a home is not merely a possession. In some quiet way, it becomes a person.

His approach brings together design excellence, technical rigour, commercial awareness, and long-term sustainability to create environments that are both enduring and meaningful.
Mona’s journey with interiors began in 2017, and she hasn’t really stopped designing since. What started with interiors gradually became a larger exploration of creativity—of materials, forms, craftsmanship and the possibilities that emerge when conventional boundaries are questioned.
Her work is characterised by an instinct to push beyond the expected. She often begins with an idea without allowing existing methods or perceived limitations to dictate its boundaries, choosing instead to explore how design, detailing and craftsmanship can be stretched to make it possible. This has shaped an approach that is expressive and experimental, yet grounded in how people actually live.
At VSTUDIOZ, Mona brings a strong sensitivity to colour, texture, composition, materiality and detail, but her work is driven as much by emotion as aesthetics. She believes every element within a space should either have a purpose, tell a story, or make someone feel something—preferably all three.
For her, the most rewarding moment in the design process is when something that began as “Can we really do this?” becomes “How did we ever imagine it any other way?”
